‘First Line Manager’ programme

Our client recognised that many of its people managers were being promoted into their first managerial role based on technical expertise in their chosen field rather than as a result of a structured development programme to identify potential managers. With little training available for them upon appointment, many new managers were under prepared for this significant change in role, a situation that was negatively affecting their own confidence, team engagement and ultimately business performance.
We designed a First Line Manager programme that could be offered to all aspiring and recently appointed managers, ensuring that new managers were able to hit the ground running with greater confidence in their abilities to effectively set goals, delegate, coach team members and give feedback.
