Coping with Organisation Change

Our client is a private medical provider. They approached us because they were in the process of acquisition which would involve 60+ people moving from one employer to another under a TUPE arrangement. They wanted to create a confidential forum where affected employees could share their personal experiences and feelings about the organisation change as well as get a feel for the culture and values of the organisation they were joining.
We ran a series of 1-day workshops attended by a mixed groups of doctors, nurses and support staff at each site. Participants really embraced the opportunity to share common feelings and experiences of the restructure with a diverse group of colleagues. Our lead facilitator provided accessible and insightful frameworks and tools to focus the discussion on building a firm foundation for the future, and participants left with useful techniques for smoothly integrating into their new organisation. Feedback from participants was they felt very supported by their new employer and valued the personal development opportunity this workshop provided at a point of significant career transition.
